As far as I know no. You need a Creative Labs Chip in your machine. Some other manufacturers include the chip in notebooks, but not MWave. A reliable contact is Ifor Powell at Creative Ireland. His EMail is [log in to unmask]

Can anyone help me out here ?
I need to know if the IBM ThinkPad 500 (now deleted) can support speech
synthesis in WindowBridge from its sound chip (MWave ?). This requires it
is SoundBlaster compatible and will run TextAssist.
