I have just received a phone call from Mr X saying that he wishes to contact Mr & Mrs Y who he knows rent one our council houses. He has a valuable item of theirs which they have left in his garage and he wants it removed. He knows I cannot tell him the address of the people because of DP.
Is there anything under DP that prevents me writing to Mr & Mrs Y and asking them to contact Mr X explaining why he wants them to contact him ? He has given his address and phone number.
Am I trying to be too helpful ?
