If this is the process, working in the Data Protection arena, alarming
is an understatement (but not surprising), not exactly what they preach
about open, transparency and trust and putting the public first now are
they! - "do as I say but not as I do" springs to mind and beggars
belief. Political views are sensitive data under DPA, complete
violation of an individual's privacy rights in my opinion.
I will definitely be telling all friends and family and anyone who
wishes to listen of this so that they ARE fully informed so that they
are in possession of ALL the facts before deciding whether or not they
wish to participate in this.
Bob, many thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Many thanks
