ETICA project (www.etica-project.eu )
The ETICA project will identify emerging Information and Communication
Technologies (ICTs) and their potential application areas in order to
analyse and evaluate ethical issues arising from these. By including a
variety of stakeholders and disciplinary perspectives, it will grade and
rank foreseeable ethical risks. Based on the study governance arrangements
currently used to address ICT ethics in Europe, ETICA will recommend
concrete governance structures to address the most salient ethical issues
identified. These recommendations will form the basis of more general policy
recommendations aimed at addressing ethical issues in emerging ICTs before
or as they arise.

Minami project (http://www.fp6-minami.org/ )
MINAmI (Micro-Nano integrated platform for transverse Ambient Intelligence
applications) is an European Commission FP6 supported IP project developing
an open technology platform for mobile phone based ambient intelligence
(mobile AmI). The platform extends the users' personal mobile phone with
wireless connections to tags and sensors, thus enabling access to ambient
applications and services. The platform concept enables a wide variety of
usages for mobile AmI - but what do the users want and accept and what are
the social and ethical issues raising from these concepts? Ethical concerns
regarding the vision and products of the project are handled in special task
dedicated to this.
Call for participation

You are cordially invited to participate to the workshop. We are looking for
research and studies that have tackled with issues related to new
technologies, ethics and user experience of ambient intelligence. You are
