Apart from this being illegal across Europe generally I think you need to
appreciate that good training and feedback is based on openness and
transparency. Such monitoring as you have proposed has a huge potential to
be used to the detriment of the individual being monitored and is hardly likely
to enhance trust between the employee and employer. Whilst you may dress
it up as a training tool I suspect its real purpose is to support disciplinary
activity.
European data protection and privacy laws are very much informed by our
historical experiences where information surreptitiously gathered by certain
regimes during the last war was used to support genocide and other offensive
behaviours. US privacy laws are based on a totally different experience which
is probably why what seems a good idea and would be acceptable in the US
will be completely unacceptable in Europe.
If you try to roll out something like this is Germany, Holland or any other
European state that experienced fascism you’re likely to be out of business let
alone breaking the law.
