I hadn't come across http://www.itsmypost.com before.
A whois search shows it to be a commercial site:
Jon Hart ([log in to unmask])
The REaD Group PLC
The Clock House Blighs Road
Sevenoaks, TN13 1DA
UK
+44 (0)1732 460000
This leads to http://www.readgroup.co.uk/mission.html
The official site of the mailing Preference Service is surely the ONLY one
you need to take care of?
http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/mps_choosetype.html
Am I missing something here?

You can see I work for Save the Children.
I would be very interested to hear from other charities who are starting to
see the extra workload itsmypost.com is giving us.
I have no problem at all with people opting in/out or shaking it about (and
we have systems for this), but my understanding that we are getting people
who are not on our lists / never likely to be on our lists asking us to
suppress mailings is going to result in more money spent on manually adding
these email requests onto our database system so we can suppress them. (so
in theory having their data - do they realise this?)
It's going to take that extra effort to raise the money to fund the time to
have someone enter names of people who dont want our data... and were never
going to get it.... phew...
Someone has come up with a great idea - I just wish it wasn't so shopping
cart like and you only selected people who are actually sending you rubbish.
Oh well - enough of my non-technical rant Monday morning for me
Diane
