I am in the process of purchasing a property. I was sent the details of the
company which has been set up by the residents to manage the block of
flats - this is the Certificate of Incorporation of a Private Limited
Company (Companies Act, 1985)
This includes the list of all the shareholders which is all the residents
with name and address - neatly in address order.
In particular, it has the details of the directors. I don't know whether
this is currently online but clearly my solicitor obtained it for a small
fee.
It contains the following information about the Directors
Forenames
Surname
Previous forename/surname
Usual residential address
Nationality
Business occupation
__Consent signature__
Contact telephone number (not compulsory - of course, it would be possible
for their to be a detachable cover sheet with contact information which
would be for administrative use but not be part of the public record - cf an
Equal Opportunities Form.)
There seems plenty of scope for fraud here.
