Subject: RE: Disabled researchers in HE - request for help
Hi Liz
Many thanks for offering to help me find case studies and for sending
out the messages for me. I tried to ring you this morning as there's a
hiccup with your message - the case studies I'm looking for are from
postdoctoral graduates who have completed their research degrees and
made the transition into employment, rather than students still
undertaking a research degree. I thought it was clear from my letter -
see paragraph extracted below and sincere apologies if it wasn't .
"Now I am looking for disabled postdoctoral or Masters research degree
graduates who are in employment and who are willing to write a case
study which includes the successful transition into employment. The
objective is to provide stories with positive outcomes to help raise the
aspirations of disabled graduates considering entering research degree
programmes, to increase self-confidence in those about to start looking
for suitable employment on completing a postgraduate research degree and
to encourage good practice by employers who recruit research degree
graduates. "
Is it possible to send an amended email round? I don't want to waste
people's time who are offering help who don't fit the criteria.
Apologies for any incovenience and many thanks again for your help.
Kind regards
Penny
