in a similar situation, a student has received some funding from the
Snowdon Awards scheme although this hasn't been enough to bridge this
gap. You may need to consider any concessionary or hardship funding
available at your institution.
If extra money really isn't available, then perhaps you need to discuss
with the student whether there are alternative adjustments that would be
acceptable for some parts of the course (using an electronic note taker
for lectures, for example) which would allow you to concentrate the
funding on those situations where an interpreter is necessary.
