Subject: [data-protection] A FRiday question
My general practitioners has now gone hi-tec. You now log in for your
appointment by entering your date of birth (if you can remember it!)
onto a touch screen display. It then shows your appointment time and
name and roughly how long you will wait. Fine if you can cope with such
things - many elderly people probably could not.
To call you to see the doctor (or nurse) your name appears on a separate
rolling message display so the whole waiting room knows that Mr, Master,
Mrs, Miss or Ms Bloggs is now going in to see Dr x. Out of interest,
does anyone see a data protection issue with this?
