Dear All
Was wondering of anyone within Local Authorities had any experience of
abandoned vehicles.
We have one and have managed to trace the present owner, during the
course of tracking the owner it came to light that the vehicle has
outstanding finance.
Talking to the present owner the finance is clearly the previous owners
( he had no idea) however should the Council take the car away and
dispose of it where do we stand re the finance company?
Do we have any right/obligations to tell them we have the car and who
the new owner is?
Any help/views appreciated
