The arguments for any delivery service are the same, and having in the past
had to deal with vetting enquiries from staff regarding part time household
cleaners and babysitters the justifying arguments did not seem to differ.
Indeed it will be interesting to see how any sustainable differentiation is
rationalised.
Although, come to think of it none of the candidates here at either the
local or national elections made their vetting certificate available for
public inspection by the voters, so some privacy issues may have been
perceived as necessary there.
There are clear problems with the standard results of a vetting check
becoming a type of authorisation required for any work, I wonder if the
resulting demands will devalue the whole process which makes one wonder what
would then be seen to be necessary.
