Hi
I am part of the RAWS committee which is the section of AMSU(Association for Managers in Students' Unions) which represents the Research and Welfare Staff in student unions and we are currently organising our annual conference which is due to take place on the 19th and 20th of April 2005.
We are looking for someone who might be able to deliver a session on Data Protection and the Freedom of Information Act. This would hopefully cover: - casework storage issues
- computer files
- Subject Access Requests
- general good practice as it relates
to Advice Centres.
The venue is the Westwood Training Centre in Coventry and it is hoped that the presenter could do the session at 1-2.30pm on the Tuesday the 19th (although this may be able to be swapped if necessary).
Please call me if you would like further details or think you may be interested in this session,
Kind Regards
Tricia

The Students Information & Advice Centre is open each day between 10am and 4pm. We run a drop in between these times where you can visit and speak to a welfare adviser without booking. Alternatively, you can ring the number above to make an appointment.
