Don't we just say "it's now the Data Protection Act (1998)(as amended)" and
we apply the version that's current at the time? BTW, is there an on-line
copy with the amendments in place anywhere?
Friday question: what happens if the act gets amended under our feet
part-way through dealing with some request?
