Apologies for cross posting.
Hi all,
Thought I’d share this one with you and get your thoughts and opinions.
I sent a specific FOI request to my local Council concerning maintenance
and repairs to my home (council property); I requested “a copy of (ALL)
DOCUMENTATION pertaining to the MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL UPKEEP of the
dwelling place known as *******.” What I actually received was what I
perceive to be an incomplete copy of my housing file. In amongst the
photocopies of the paperwork were documents that contained the names, and
in one case, address, of previous tenants and their reasons for vacating
the property! Call me picky if you like but surly that’s not the right way
to go about answering an FOI request, is it?
I have complained to the council, who incidentally have not even
acknowledged my complaint; also I’ve been in touch with the ICO who advised
that I have to wait ANOTHER 20 days before I can expect a reply from the
Council and then I can take it further.
Thoughts, opinions and advice please.
Cliff
