Dear All
I am off to Crete on Saturday (10th December) to seek work and property.
I
may be gone for a while (perhaps forever).
Thanks to you all for the discussion, queries, arguments, posers,
questions
and humour we have shared over the years. Thanks especially to anyone
who has
said they learned something during the discussions and anyone who
violently
disagreed with anything I said.
Some things were said in jest, others in mischief, but in general I gave
honestly-held beliefs in answer to the serious questions. I have been
wrong on
occasion, and a few helpful people have prevented me from straying too
far from
the path. Thank you.
Thanks also to Sally for hosting such an interesting and lively board.
Thanks to the people who only occasionally pushed their heads above the
parapet of
erudite comment to air their views - otherwise we would be witnessing a
two-way conversation between two protagonists who shall remain nameless.
Very special thanks to anyone who bought my services on behalf of their
employer. I hope your managers and staff felt they got their money's
worth. If
not, a refund is available from HM Inspector of Taxes who seemed to get
a large
chunk of my income.
So in the words of the immortal god himself: So long and thanks for all
the
fish.
I will be able to read any responses to this email, so be careful what
you
say until I cancel my membership of the board, Sally will let you know
when the
coast is clear.

Please Note: The information given above does not replace or negate the
need
for a grip on reality. It is essential that you do not rely upon any
information given without contacting your inner self. If you need
further explanation
of any points raised please contact a travel agent and get a flight to
Crete,
ask for Mr L Prosser at the airport and have a pan-galactic
gargleblaster at
the bar whilst you wait for his arrival. You will need to fill in a
request
form, in triplicate, then eat it, regurgitate it and feed it to your
grandmother.
