Does anyone out there have an email archiving system and, if so, would you
recommend such a solution. As the systems capture everything forever (or
a period determined by the business and legal needs of a percentage of the
information), I have contacted the ICO with regard to principle 5 of DPA,
but as yet have had no reply.
At present we rely on individuals to archive relevant information,
resulting in multiple copies of identical documents being stored. This
also means that searches for data in response to SARs and FOI requests is
heavily reliant on the individual's filing system.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks
Jackie
