Desperation may be a *reason* for these actions, but it's not a *defence* that the IC or the courts would accept were they to adjudicate on the matter.

If it isn't the sheer desperation, how can you explain the zillionth phone
call I got from a BT Wholesaler trying to persuade me to switch my provider
even though I'm registered to TPS? A telephone service provider is ignoring
the telephone preference service... What next? Ofcom trying to sell pagers?
(grrr, I'm angry!)
