Does jiscmail need to have a rule that if someone asks "Have you got
information on X" that this is understood not to be treated an FOI
request (unless explicitly stated??) otherwise there will be a problem
for all public authorities on the list.
In general, do jiscmail rules need to state that an FOI request should
go through other channels and not jiscmail? Otherwise one can't
distinguish FOI requests from just requests for info etc. Just a
thought?
Alternatively, you could treat it as a valid FOI request, but if I were
a DPO for a public authority, I might considr getting off this list
immediately!!
