A history of their education and their difficulties with learning and
literacy in their own language is important. Diffentiate between lack of
education and difficulty.
Those students who have languages that are phonetically regular may
show up visual difficulties in English which are not as obvious in
theirs.
Michael Vinygrad's questions are not bad as a starter and DAST has non
language specific stuff too.

Dear all
we are having increasing numbers of international students coming to
us
for dyslexia screening and are finding some aspects of the spelling
and
literacy tests particularly challenging, the expertise of our
specialist
screeners notwithstanding!!
Has anyone got any advice to give (links to point to) about how to
differentiate between the kind of difficulties different groups of
international learners may manifest which would help us hone our
support?
thank you
Alison
