Natália Reis's posting on the upcoming CFP eCommerce conference has
prompted me to respond.
Many times individuals on this listserv have been wondering about
happenings in the U.S. There was a recent CFP conference held in the Bay
Area, California in April, 2004.
Some audio programs, blogging and papers are available for the sessions
presented.
You can access those at:
http://www.cfp2004.org/program/
Additionally, audio portions of the recent Securing Privacy in the Internet
Age, Stanford Law School Symposium, held March 13-14, 2004 Stanford Law
School are available at
http://cyberlaw.stanford.edu/privacysymposium/schedule.html
Notes and blogging are available at:
http://cyberlaw.stanford.edu/privacysymposium/notes.html
This conference was attended by international leaders in the data
protection arena.
I understand that it is hard to attend all conferences especially those in
the United States. Some US conferences try to provide, when available,
free information shared at the conference for those unable to
attend. Especially those that are held at Stanford, where Professor Larry
Lessig is employed, releasing proceedings under the Creative Commons License.
Please don't hesitate to contact me on other local US happenings.
Sincerely
Saundra Kae Rubel
