I am a little surprised there has been no reaction to the quote.
What struck me was the lack of any thought that must have gone into the
statement made by Susannah Haan. Surely she would need to balance the
requirement of a softening of the law with the very real risk that we
would be outside of the EC 1995 Directive with the consequences that might
have on the flow of information to and from the UK.
