Are not soft touches truly what much of DP is focused on.
From the article it would seem that there is not much disagreement; as
everybody is after a balance of the fairness principle.
Transparency with data subjects can assist greatly in facilitating free
market choice, and enabling fairness, so the existing disagreements would
seem to be over something different.

The one quote I read with interest from this Financial Times article
is:
"But Susannah Haan, CBI legal adviser, said: "The government should
stand up for the pragmatic approach that it has taken so far. In fact,
