Although this is true, I can't recall ever having heard of an organisation who has been the victim of a "SAR attack" as you call it. In practice (touch wood) DSAR rights are rarely invoked for the hell of it.

We have long argued that an SAR attack is equivalent to a "Denial of Service
attack", and see no remedy apart from slick processes. It is as true within
Europe as from outside. At least outside Europe the currency exchange fees
are more that the £10 fee.

You need to balance the cost against the benefit.....imagine an overseas
competitor trying to bring your organisation to its knees by generating
tonnes of SARs for which, before you can dismiss them, you will have to
verify their source.
