We don't routinely send ours out - we invite the subject to come in and
inspect the material. We offer to copy at that point.

Subject: [data-protection] Despatching Subject Access
Dear All,
We used to send our SAR reponses to the Subject via Recorded Delivery.
Having found that the Royal Mail have a Guaranteed Delivery service, we
started using this instead (a good services whereby the movement of the
parcel can be traced at any one time). However, one of our offices are
finding that quite a few are returned to the depot, waiting for the
person to collect. And in the past quarter three have been returned by
the Royal Mail to our offices.
This raises a couple of potential problems / questions:
1. has the clock stopped clicking after the SAR has left our office? 2.
what do other folk use to sendout their SAR responses? 3. is there a
better way to send out this type of info (we are UK based)?
Thanks in anticipation,
Les
