This is surely a management, rather than a data protection, issue?
Issues to consider include:
- political acceptability of the funding method
to the Trust's board.
- acceptability of the advertisements and the
services advertised.
- implied recommendation by the site's owner.
- extra bandwidth used by the advertisments.
- time taken for staff to read and consider
the content of advertisments instead of
performing their principle duties.
- implied consent for employees to contact.
advertisers during normal working hours.
- consequential damages should adverts be
interfered with, intentionally or otherwise.
- balancing the income received versus the
grief^H^H^H^H^H^H time and effort that may
result from allowing advertising.
