Jannine,
Look at www.electronic-stethoscope.com (cardionics,
Inc., 910 Bay Star Blvd, Webster, TX 77598) The E-Scope
belt model (only available from the US when recommended
last year) enables a hearing impaired user to use a
stethoscope without removing the hearing aid. The model
does not work with all aids but is satisfactory for most.
If the hearing aid is an 'in ear' type, a set of earphones
can be placed over the ear and plugged into the output of
the E-Scope. It costs something in the region of £350 -
£400.
It may also be worth contacting STARKEY laboratories(UK)
