All
I would be most grateful for any feedback you can give me on this issue.
Our Revenues & Benefits Section (Head of Service) has been liaising with me
in connection with the above. Basically, he is refusing to allow his
members of staff to sign any letters informing individuals that their name
has been added to such a list. I have stressed that this is in fact the law
as you have to tell people what information we are holding etc. I can
understand their fears though as you can get some very violent people. The
feeling is that this may antagonise the individuals further. Although some
Departments feel that they are ok with this.
Can anyone tell me if there have been further incidents as a result of them
informing individuals that their name has been put on such a list.. Any
help would be greatly appreciated - (back-up).
