There was talk about using NI number for the 'voluntary'identity card
scheme and I'm pretty certain one of the issues that came out was the NI
number is only for NI / tax use. Although passport office use it too - to
check nationality???
I guess that NI number would generally not be 'sensitive' but what about in
the case of employyes who are / have been in receipt of sickness beneift,
invalidity benefit or similar?
What about using payroll number? On its own or in combination with all /
part of name? Or name & part of DOB - say day & month but not year?
