Thanks Peter, that's the sort of clarification was looking for, I obviously
didn't make myself clear when I said:
Are we duplicating efforts? I shouldn't want to miss out on anything

My reason for suggesting that Natalie use dyslexia-forum is that discussion
is INDEED beginnig to
replicate to both forums. I feel that Natalie's email and Sandra Jones'
response ARE
Dyslexia-forum issues - not Disforum ones. Both messages are about support
for children. My
understanding has always been that Disforum is for discussion of HE issues
by professionals
involved in supporting HE students with disabilities.
I suggest that what we are beginning to see, results from the recent
decision to allow/encourage
students to use this list. If students are to use the list, I feel that the
parameters for
discussion should be clearly stated.
I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that, if concerned parents begin to
use this list to
discuss issues affecting their kids at school, many of those for whom the
list was created will
simply unsubscribe. This will be a great shame because disforum is a
valuable resource for
disability profesionals in HE.
Regards
Peter
