At UCN, if a student asks for a wheelchair accessible room to allow parents
or disanbled friends to visit we would have no hesitation about allocating a
room on the ground floor or with lift access. However we would probably not
allocate a larger adapted room with fully accessible bathroom facilities
etc. We are happy for parents and friends to visit students (at the
student's invitation), but don't provide hostel accommodation for visiting
friends and relatives!
