Apply for DSA. I am not aware of any section of the DSA
regs that would preclude a student with a temporary
disability applying. Disability is not defined nor do the
regs note that the condition has to be long-standing. I've
manage to get support for temporary conditions before now.
A problem can arise should the LEA require an NFAC
assessment. As it could take a week or three for the
report to emerge the student may welll have recovered by
then and no longer require the support. So Uni' Hardship
funds could well be preferable
