I know, but the point is that there's a clash between the CCTV CoP
requirement that individuals be recognisable and the ability of any
camera (however good) to deliver that, whether real-time recorded
or time-lapsed, whether analogue or digital. Is it a lgeal requirement
that all individuals be recognisable, anywhere in any footage of any camera
being used for crime prevention? I can't see that it is, otherwise either
a) the CCTV operator is breaking the law or
b) any CCTV footage presented at court would identify the individual 100%
I'm not sure that either is true.
I certainly agree that most CCTV signage is woefully inadequate.
