In a book I co-wrote "Data Protection Guidance - A Practitioner's Handbook"
(published jointly last year by the British Bankers' Association,
Association of British Insurers, Finance & Leasing Association, Council of
Mortgage Lenders & Consumer Credit Trade Association, Chapter 9 helpfully
lists a table with 10 criminal offences - see pages 55-57 for those who have
a copy).
There may well be others, but Phil Jones of the ODPC seemed happy that we
had highlighted those.
If you're interested in viewing the table, fax me a photocopy of a £5 note
and I'll fax you the relevant pages tomorrow!!
Regards
Martin

Subject: DPA Criminal Offences
Can anyone confirm how many criminal offences are contained/within the new
Act? I have read two different figures, 10 and 15. Apart from going
through the Act itself is there a neat summary available anywhere?
kind regards,
