We have an anonymous marking set-up, but students
who are dyslexic have stickers which they put on
their exam scripts and this acts as a warning to
the marker that they should go carefully. It seems
to work well enough and with the number of dyslexic
students having increased quite significantly, it
is perhaps less compromising in terms of anonymity.
The students can, if they choose, leave the
stickers off, in the hope that if their mark is
lower than they might have expected, moderation
will come into play at exam board.
