What is he experience of others in regard to LEAs funding
the replacement costs of equipment - purchased through DSA
but which has been stolen, or destroyed somehow, but was
not insured. I don't think the Award Guidelines give an
opinion on this.
Should the LEA support the student up to the equipment
allowance limits, providing supporting evidence is
available, e.g. police reports?
I have two such cases but with very different attitudes
from the LEAs concerned. At the moment I sense I am
dealing with the goodwill or otherwise of the awards
officers, rather than objective criteria, which seems a
little too vague.
