Hi all,
I've just been catching up on the list after a break. Andrew Charlesworth's drafts look very useful for all of us who are still confused. One comment, however - the draft on Security appears to assume that all records of any consequence are computerised (except in the 'Disposal of Data' section), but some of the most sensitive data may be held only in manual files. Some of these issues are perhaps touched upon in CoP - Employee and student counselling, but not dealt with in detail. I presume that, at least for the time being, many documents may be found in manual files not only for student support and advice purposes but academic ones. By the time these codes are bedded in, most live manual files will subject to the act even if they aren't yet.
