Is it also worth pointing out that the Freedom of Information Bill
amends the DPA to extend the definition of 'data' to include:
"recorded information held by a public authority and does not
fall within any of paragraphs (a) to (d)"
and it gives a
"right of access to unstructured personal data held
by public authorities."
Universities are 'public authorities' in FoI Bill terms, so you
might as well start getting all your files in order now!
