If your colleague meant the draft Code of Practice on use of employee data by
employers, which contains a section on e-mail monitoring and internet
monitoring, it can be found at:
http://wood.ccta.gov.uk/dpr/dpdoc.nsf
or just go to the DPC website
choose Guidance and Other Publications, Codes of practice our responses &
other papers, Employment COP (Draft) - use of personal data in
employer/employee relationships
Section 6 of the document is about communications monitoring.
The document includes Legislative & policy background, previous work,
questions for consultees, and how to respond by the closing date of Friday,
5th January 2001
If this is not what your colleague meant then apologies to you and everyone
else who painstakingly read through this e-mail.
