ADO operates in this type of way being run by dyslexic adults. The usual strategy
carried out by HQ in London is to identify concerns through their helpline and correspondence
then to research the head / appropriate executive of ther particular branch of the organisation
concerned. This has worked well, especially with the Employment Service where ADO initiated
investigation into Occupational Psychologists' assessments with a view to deciding what was
good practice and implementing it.
This sort of approach - bottom up then top down - is the best way to proceed.
To this end I am hoping that the adult dyslexic groups and individuals might be enabled to feed
in their problems with the system so the Adult Dyslexia Organisation can aim to tackle them.
On a regional level I hope to faciliatate this by encouraging a loose asscoiation of North West groups
and there are organisations well placed in Birmingham, Sussex, for example, who can do likewise
for the midlands and south coast. What is going on in the North East? Is there anyone out there?
ps to Peter
I think we have been in touch before - can't think what it was about now.

Do you know if the adult dyslexia support group in your home town is still active?
