Thursday 7th July 10.00 am - 3.30 pm
CLAUD is a consortium of librarians in Higher Education
networking to improve library access for disabled users in
the South and Southwest of England. In its well-established
annual Summer Conference series, CLAUD offers a forum for
finding practical solutions to the difficulties involved in
providing truly accessible library services. Further
details of CLAUD can be found on our website:
http://www.bris.ac.uk/claud/welcome.html
Previous CLAUD Conferences have focused on accessible
service provision for library users, but disability in the
workplace also demands our attention. The 2005 Summer
Conference aims to explore this neglected area and to give
some practical advice. The morning sessions will explore
the needs of staff with disabilities, their colleagues and
their managers. The afternoon sessions will explore
practical solutions.
