we had a case with a student whos first language wasnt english, but had
an EP report from their home country, which cleared things up.
so the logical thing to suggest would be to assess the student in their
mother tongue. how practicle this is though i dont knwo.

Hello Everyone
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Have a student who is Italian and having difficulties with essay
writing
etc. There are no conclusive indicators of dyslexia as English is not
her
first language, which also means that the EP is reluctant to assess. It
may
also be a case of acquired dyslexia due to RTA.
Does anyone know of any funding or if Italy has DSA's? Or if they have
had
similar situations. Any information or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
