If the second breach happens after 7 months, how does anyone know it'
the second, if no records are kept? Or does it become another "first"
strike?
As for the length of time, I can't see why it should be anything other
than 6 months. If the IT department want to get the disciplinary policy
changed, there are doubtless avenues available to them. They should not
be lobbying for an exception unless such exceptions are already allowed
for in the policy.
