You would if you were the credit card company and he was wanting another loan/card. He is going back to you as one data controller not as separate distinct orgs and data controller. Left and right hands have to know what each other are doing. :)

Has anyone any advice, ideas or details of their own practices over this query.
Our Business Unit has received an application for a business loan. In rural areas such as this often people are well known to others and in this case, the applicant's vehicle has been seen on numerous cases with parking tickets. The Business Unit have asked if he has paid these fines and also made enquiries to Council tax regarding his payment of these bills. My initial reaction is that other debts he may have with the Authority should have no bearing on his loan application - after all, we can't ask his credit card company how much he owes.
