In reply - have you considered audio as an option?
Text Help can be networked or put on standalone computers. If you
were using it to read back then it would be OK - in my experience the
magnifier in TextHelp is not suitable for visually impaired users.
You could also try text assist (but the control box is very small to
see) or a better solution, but more expensive, would be to use
Zoomtext Extra, with magnification and speech. Are you also making
this available to students who cannot read because of dyslexia?
Dear all
We produce a students' A-Z hand guide (A5 size) each year and I would
like
to offer this in an alternative format for students with visual
impairments.
Too many pages to simply print out on hard copy and I wondered if it
would be
possible
to have the text put on to a number of computers in the Learning Centres
and
install Texthelp on those machines. I've wanted Texthelp available
anyway
and this could be the ideal opportunity to get funding.
Is this possible, sensible or has anyone a better idea ?
With thanks for suggestions.
