I have cerebral palsy and used this method in my economics
and finance exams during my degree as some of the diagrams
were complexed and it was felt that having to describe them
verbally would put me at a disadvantage. For me, it worked
fine and I feel that it reduces the risk of a scribe not
being able to interpret directions exactly which would
obviously put the student at a disadvantage.
