British Dyslexia Association. Campaign 1997.
Too much time, money and energy is currently being wasted in
conflict in order to ensure people with dyslexia have an equal
chance in life. The justice system can award damages when the
education system has failed as in the case of Pamela Phelps v
Hillingdon LEA. The answer surely lies in prevention.
This campaign will focus on the positive steps that can be
taken to ensure children with dyslexia are identified early and
given adequate support at school. It will also highlight the
importance of working with the health professionals.
