The role of Information Governance Manager will become vacant shortly at Surrey Heath Borough Council based in Camberley, Surrey. They are looking for someone to undertake Information Governance and Information Management duties (Records Management, Data Protection, Freedom of Information).
This is an exciting opportunity and will include supporting the SIRO and DPO to manage and review good information management and data handling practices, ensure that information rights are undertaken with the aim of protecting the privacy of individuals and council information and releasing information as necessary. The person concerned will be responsible for overseeing the Council's compliance with Information Rights legislation.
The candidate should have a knowledge of Information Rights legislation as well as excellent communication skills to deal with a variety of different external and internal organisations/departments whilst able to work both independently and as a team player. Details are below.
