Section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 incorporates EU law into UK law after Brexit so until such time as the noble lords and esteemed elected representatives choose to supplant GDPR with a specific home grown replacement the DPO's powers are here for a while.

As Jon says GDPR applies direct outside of part 3 law enforcement processing and you will not find an equivalent of s70 although s1(2) DPA 2018 acknowledges the fact.
If some wiseacre challenges you on this gap, the legal basis for this is in fact s2 of the European Communities Act 1972 - for the next 6 months or so at least. The direct application of EU law ( since GDPR is a Regulation) meant no equivalent was needs as it was for law enforcement which was just a directive
For completeness s22 DPA 2018 also does the same job for some out of scope processing ...
