If there is anyone out there who can make more sense of our Data
Protection Bill than I can, could they explain the status of the GDPR
recitals once the UK leaves the EU?
There is some important commentary in the recitals (for example R.47
saying that direct marketing may be a legitimate interest) but I note
that the recitals are not quoted in the Keeling Schedule for GDPR that
was helpfully circulated to the group recently.
